SLFP has no future of its own - SB

Parliamentarian S B Dissanayake said that many top-level SLFP leaders would not have made it to parliament if they did not contest elections with the Lotus (SLPP) Top-level leaders in the SLFP such as former president Maithripala Sirisena, general secretary Dayasiri Jayasekara and UPFA general secretary Mahinda Amaraweera won the 2020 parliamentary election only because they ran on the SLPP ticket said parliamentarian S B Dissanayake.

 

In the districts that the SLFP had decided to contest alone, said Dissanayake, the party couldn’t secure even 10% of the votes, according to Dissanayaka. 

 

Dissanayake was also critical of SLFP senior vice president Prof Rohana Lakshman Piyadasa who Said that the government has lost the confidence of the people.
