SL approves emergency use of Oxford-AstraZeneca vaccine

State Minister Prof. Channa Jayasumana states that the approval for the emergency use of Oxford - AstraZeneca vaccine for the coronavirus infection in Sri Lanka has been granted by the National Medicines Regulatory Authority (NMRA).

 

As per the  Deputy Director General of Health Services Dr. Hemantha Herath, the required rehearsals will be conducted in the upcoming week and the regulations in relation to the vaccination are being prepared.

 

He also added that the health units in Sri Lanka are prepared to distribute the vaccines according to the the priority list, once the country gets the vaccine shipment.
