Promotions to over 1,700 sailors for the 71st Anniversary of the Navy

The Sri Lanka Navy has decided to grant over 1700 promotions to mark the 71st anniversary of the Sri Lanka Navy, the island's first line of defense.

 

Accordingly, 84 officers and 1684 other ranks were promoted to their next ranks.

 

Under the direction and guidance of the Commander of the Navy, a series of celebrations were held at each Naval Command, giving pride and place to naval traditions and religious observances.
