P.B. Jayasundara has handed over his resignation letter to President Gotabaya Rajapaksa, according to two newspaper reports.

&nbsp;

If Jayasundara&rsquo;s resignation is accepted by the President then he is likely to step down in the first week of 2022, the report added.
