National Museums to re-open from July 1st

The Department of National Museums has decided to re-open all museums across Sri Lanka that come under its purview, from the 1st of July. 

 

The Museums will be open to the general public from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm, except for public holidays.

 

The visitors are requested to follow the stringent guidelines set by the  health authorities and a maximumof 15 visitors will be allowed to enter a museum at a time.

 

The gates of the premises wll be open for visitors every thirty minuits. 

 

The department also announced that the visitors can make an appointment in advance by calling the respective museum, to avoid inconveninece when visiting them.
