More than a hundred Tamils to be deported from Germany

Angela Merkel’s 'Grand Coalition' has decided to remove more than one hundred Tamils who have claimed political asylum on the basis that they are not safe in Sri Lanka.
Tamils in Germany have started protesting and taken to the streets saying that they are shocked by this decision.
They point out that Germany is taking a dual stand as it sponsored the UNHCR resolution against Sri I Lanka at the recently concluded session.
Dozens of Tamils gathered outside the deportation prison in Pforzheim, in the southwest of Germany, while more protests are to happen in the coming days. Meanwhile rounding up those to be deported has commenced.
