More Corona deaths

The coronavirus death toll in Sri Lanka has increased to  566, the latest victims included people from Ethul Kotte, Kandana, Colombo 15, and Kaluthara.

 

Chief Epidemiologist   Dr. Sudath Samaraweera said although there is a notable decrease in daily detection of COVID-19 cases that does not does not reflect the overall COVID situation in the entire country.

 

Dr. Sudath Samaraweera further explained  that there is a chance of a COVID cluster being created in the country through an undetected patient.

 

“This becomes evident with the infected patients being detected in the Jaffna District these days,” he said.
