Minister Lohan Ratwatte resigns from the post of Minister

Minister of State Lohan Ratwatte has resigned from his post as Minister of State for Prison Management and Prisoner Rehabilitation.

He has resigned, claiming responsibility for the incidents at Welikada and Anuradhapura prisons.

President Gotabhaya Rajapaksa has accepted the resignation of Lohan Ratwatte.
