Meat transportation permitted islandwide

 

The Presidential Media Division (PMD) said that the Animal Production and Health Department has now confirmed that the recent livestock deaths in the Northern and Eastern Provinces were not caused by any epidemic disease.

However, after an investigation conducted by the Animal Production and Health Department in Peradeniya area, the cause of these mass deaths was shock caused by bad weather and sudden cold.
