Lockdown should be extended by another two weeks - Asela Gunawardena

The Director General of Health Services, Dr. Asela Gunawardena said that the current curfew should be extended for another two weeks to get the best out of the current curfew.

He added that the number of covid positive patients would be reduced if the people followed proper health practices and if the vaccination was stopped by mid-October, the country would be back to normal by the end of that month.

He also said that no final decision has been taken yet on the dosage of booster vaccine in Sri Lanka.
