Locally produced saline for use in the public sector from September

Minister of State Prof. Channa Jayasumana said that saline produced in Sri Lanka will be provided for public sector use from September.

He further said that the import of saline for the benefit of the public sector will be stopped completely.

The public sector needs 18 million bottles of saline per year and this factory can produce about 5,000 bottles of saline per hour, the Minister said.
