Lanka Sama Samaja Party decides to quit government?

The Lanka Sama Samaja Party led by Prof. Tissa Vitarana has decided to quit the government, according to internal sources.

 

The Sri Lanka People's Front (SLPP), the main party in the government, has requested an opportunity to discuss the threats and anti-people activities of the government, but party leaders have not responded, party leader Tissa Vitarana said.

 

Accordingly, he hopes to submit a proposal to the forthcoming party politburo to leave the government, he said.
