Indian Minister inspects LIOC petrol station in Colombo

Indian External Affairs Minister Dr. SB Dissanayake is on a two-day official visit to Sri Lanka. Jayashankar visited a Lanka IOC petrol station in Colombo today.

He also said that the $ 500 million (LOC) loan from India would help the Sri Lankan people in their daily lives.

Jaishankar is in Colombo to hold bilateral talks with the country's top leadership and to attend the Seven Nations Initiative for BIMSTEC (BIMSTEC) Conference on Multilateral Technical and Economic Cooperation.

This is his first visit to the island after India extended an economic relief package to save Sri Lanka from the current economic crisis.
