Husband arrested over murder of Lankapura DS administrative officer

The police said that her husband was arrested on suspicion of the murder of the administrative officer of the Polonnaruwa, Lankapura Divisional Secretariat who was murdered.

The 42-year-old woman died on Monday (04) at around 2.45 in the morning after being attacked with a sharp weapon at the hospital.

Yamuna Padmini, who was killed, is a mother of two children and she worked as an administrative officer in the Lankapura Divisional Secretariat.

After the incident, the murdered person's husband said that although he saw someone in his room, he could not recognize the person in the dark.
