General Election 2020 : An act of violence reported from Kirulapone

An act of violence in relation to the upcoming General Election was reported from Kirulapone, on August 3.

 

The above incident has taken place at an election office of a UNP candidate contesting the General Election.

 

The Centre for Monitoring Election Violence (CMEV) stated that the office was attacked  and two individuals were assaulted  by an unidentified group of people. 

 

However, the office was damaged and the individuals who succumbed to injuries following the attack, have been hospitalized.
