Gazette published allowing burial of Covid-19 victims

The Extraordinary Gazette notification allowing the burial of bodies of Covid-19 victims has been published.

 

Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa recently informed the  parliament that permission will be granted for the burial of COVID-19 victims.

 

 

Several world leaders and international organisations had also urged the Sri Lankan government to allow the burial of  the bodies of Muslim Covid-19 victims and to end forced cremation of them.
