Foreign Secretary says Sri Lanka is mainly focused on economic diplomacy

The Foreign Secretary said that Sri Lanka is currently focusing on economic diplomacy.

 

The inaugural Lieutenant General Denzil Kobbekaduwa Memorial Lecture organized by the National Institute of Defense Studies (INSS) was held at the Suhurupaya Auditorium in Battaramulla on Thursday (Dec. 16).

 

Former Commander of the Sri Lanka Navy, Foreign Secretary Admiral Colombage began his speech by addressing the LTTE. Recalling his personal experience with the late General during the war. Maj. Gen. Jagath Alwis, Secretary to the Ministry of Public Defense, Vice Admiral Nishantha Ulugatenna, Commander of the Navy, Chief of Army Staff, Army Coordinating Officer of the Ministry of Defense, Senior Officers of the Armed Forces and the Police, members of the Diplomatic Corps Were together.
