Focus on weather today

There is a possibility of lower atmospheric disturbances in the southeastern part of Sri Lanka.

 

Showers will occur at times in the Eastern, Uva, Northern and North Central provinces and in the Matale, Nuwara Eliya and Hambantota districts.

 

Showers or thundershowers will occur at several places in the Western and Sabaragamuwa provinces and in the Galle, Matara and Kandy districts during the evening or night.

 

The general public is kindly requested to take adequate measures to minimize the dangers posed by temporary strong winds and lightning in those areas during thundershowers.
