Focus on weather today

Showers will occur in the Galle, Matara, Nuwara Eliya, Kandy districts and in the Sabaragamuwa and Western provinces, the Met Department said.

Showers or thundershowers will occur at several places in the North, North Central, Eastern and Uva provinces during the evening.

The Meteorological Department urges the public to take necessary measures to minimize the damage caused by lightning and wind.
