Focus on weather today

Showers or thundershowers will occur at times in many parts of the island.

 

Heavy showers of more than 100 mm are expected in the Western, Sabaragamuwa, Central, North Western and Uva provinces and in the Galle and Matara districts.

 

The general public is kindly requested to take adequate measures to minimize the dangers posed by temporary strong winds and lightning in those areas during thundershowers.
