Showers or thundershowers will occur in the North Western Province and in the Western, Sabaragamuwa, Central Provinces and in the Galle and Matara districts, the Met Department said.

Strong winds of 40-60 kmph are possible in the Central Highlands, North Central and North Western Provinces on the Western Ghats and in the Hambantota and Trincomalee Districts.
