Focus on weather today

Showers or thundershowers will occur at times in many parts of the island.

 

Heavy showers of more than 100 mm are expected in the North, North-Central, Western, Sabaragamuwa, Central and Uva provinces and in some parts of the Puttalam and Trincomalee districts.

 

The general public is kindly requested to take adequate measures to minimize the dangers posed by temporary strong winds and lightning in those areas during thundershowers.
