Focus on the weather today

Heavy showers of up to 50 mm are expected in the Western, Sabaragamuwa and Galle and Matara districts today. The Met Department warns that showers will occur in the North Western Province as well.

Showers or thundershowers will occur at several places in the Uva Province and in the Ampara and Batticaloa districts during the evening or night.

Strong winds are expected in the Central Highlands, North, North Central and North Western Provinces and in Hambantota and Trincomalee.
