Fire on the Xpress Pearl causes 29 years of damage

 

According to Mr.Mahinda Amaraweera the environmental damage caused by the adverse fore on the X-Press Pearl vessel would remain nearly 20 years.

 

He has further said that the total damage can never be calculated and nother more debris and particles that ship had been ashore. Almost all the wastages are collected tp nearly 40 containers but we never can say how much still there in the sea and how much are eaten by the fish.

 

He further stated that the Crime Investigation Department has already started the investigations on the matter upon the instructions of President Gotabaya Rajapakse and hope to claim the total compensation as well as punish the responsible bodies for this catastrophe.
