Dengue warnings issued for 10 districts

A statement issued by the Ministry of Health stated that the Minister has instructed the health authorities to continue the dengue eradication program.

 

Speaking to the media yesterday, Dr. Shilanthi Seneviratne, Consultant Officer, National Dengue Control Unit, said that 21,154 dengue patients and 10 deaths due to the disease have been identified so far this year.

 

The highest number of dengue patients have been reported from the Western Province while the highest number of cases have been reported from Kandy, Galle, Matara, Kurunegala, Badulla, Ratnapura and Kegalle districts.
