Cyber Attacks target government websites

Many government website masters have been in for a surprise as their websites have been hacked. However, the Sri Lanka Computer Emergency Readiness Team (SLCERT) has been able to fix most of the issues.

 

SLCERT Information Security Engineer Ravindu Meegasmulla said that websites belonging to the Ministry of Health, the Sri Lanka Embassy in China and the Rajarata University have been secured. It was not a serious attack, he said.

 

Some of the main pages have been defaced while on some others subpages have been defaced.
