Covid to the man who died while in police custody

The suspect who was arrested during a raid carried out by the Matugama Police last Sunday was admitted to the Wettewa Hospital due to an emergency condition while being brought to the police station.

However, the doctor who examined the suspect said that he had died.

A PCR test revealed that the 40-year-old man had contracted covid.
