Construction of the Eastern Terminal of the Colombo Port commences

Construction of Eastern Terminal at Colombo Port inaugurated The construction work of the second phase of Eastern Container Terminal at the Colombo Port was inaugurated this morning (January 12) under the patronage of President Gotabaya Rajapaksa and Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa.

According to the President’s Media Division (PMD), the establishment of the terminal is expected to be completed in 2024 under three phases.
