Complete power outage due to fuel shortage in Lebanon

The Lebanese power grid was completely shut down by noon today and a government official confirmed that it was unlikely to be operational by next Monday or so.

The Saharani thermal power plant has been shut down after the Dyer Ammar power plant was shut down on Friday due to a fuel shortage.

Many Lebanese rely on private generators that run on diesel, but it is in short supply.
