All CTeachers to stage protest over arrest of CTU’s Joseph Stalin

 

The Sri Lanka United Teachers Union says that all unions related to the education sector have organized a protest movement today (08) demanding the release of the General Secretary of the Ceylon Teachers' Union (CTU) Joseph Stalin.

Reverend Pujya Thero, president of the association, said that the protest was organized at Lipton Roundabout in Colombo at 2.30 pm after the end of school.

Since Thursday is a public holiday this week, individual studies in schools will be held only on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday and Friday has also been declared a holiday and the Ministry of Education has informed to take necessary steps for that.
