A request to the health authorities to act responsibly with the relaxation of restrictions

Dr. Asela Gunawardena, Director General of Health Services, urges the public to act responsibly with regard to the easing of internal border controls and other restrictions.

 

“Inter-provincial travel restrictions were removed to facilitate the provision of essential services and economic activities,” he said.

 

Accordingly, Dr. Gunawardena emphasized the importance of strict adherence to health guidelines and practices. Otherwise, the potential damage after removing the safety measures may be irreversible.
