A gazette notification has been issued extending the tenure of local government bodies

A gazette notification has been issued extending the term of office of Municipal Councils, Urban Councils and Pradeshiya Sabhas till March 19, 2023.

 

Janaka Bandara Tennakoon, Minister of Public Services, Provincial Councils and Local Government has issued this gazette notification exercising the powers vested in him by the Municipal Councils Ordinance, Urban Councils Ordinance and the Pradeshiya Sabha Act.
