A doctor at the Katugastota Hospital has died due to covid infection

Hospital Director Dr. Arjuna Tillekeratne said that a doctor working at the Katugastota Hospital had died due to covid infection.

Dr. Sidrafideen, a resident of Mawilmada, Katugastota has been transferred to Peradeniya Hospital for treatment due to infection with the covid virus.

The body will be taken to Oddamavadi Cemetery for burial, the director said.
