80% school attendance not compulsory for A/L students this year

The 80% school attendance requirement is not taken into account for students appearing in the GCE. The Ministry of Education says that the A-level examination will be held in December.

This decision has been taken considering the problems faced by students due to the disruption of transport facilities in Sri Lanka due to the Covid-19 epidemic and fuel shortage.

Meanwhile, the deadline for accepting applications for the National Colleges of Education based on the 2019/2022 A Level Examination results has been extended to August 19.
