61 individuals exiting Western Province test positive for coronavirus

61 individuals exiting the Western province have  tested positive for coronavirus .

 

Police Spokesman DIG Ajith Rohana stated that the said individuals have  been identified  from nearly 10,000 rapid antigen tests conducted from December 18 until 6.00 am on Decembr 29.

 

He also added that 315 close associates of the said individuals have been directed to quarantine.

 

Furthermore, the infected persons have been admitted to the treatment centers. 

 

Rapid antigen testing will be conducted in eleven locations for those who are leaving Colombo until January 5, 2021.
