1,080,000 more sinopharm injections to the island

The official in charge of the airport said that another 108,000 doses of Chinese-made synoform vaccine arrived in Sri Lanka this morning on a SriLankan Airlines cargo plane from Beijing.

The consignment, which was packed in 60 boxes weighing 19,952 kilograms and containing dry ice, arrived at the Katunayake International Airport at 5.26 this morning on a SriLankan Airlines flight UL-869.

Arrangements have been made to store the injection stock in the refrigerator at the airport air cargo warehouse.
