President Ranil Wickremesinghe said that Sri Lanka has the ability to establish a green economy, especially through renewable energy, while addressing a high-level event on strategies and measures to accelerate Sri Lanka's transition to a green growth path.

He added that the Government of Sri Lanka has prepared a Natural Adaptation Plan and a National Environment Action Plan to ensure a green economy and a better world by 2050.

The event was organized by the Ministry of Environment and GGGI (Global Green Growth Institute) yesterday morning (06) at the Colombo Hilton.
