Grant of 9300 metric tonnes of urea to be distributed among low income farmers

 

The United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization has taken steps to provide free of charge to rice farmers in eight districts of the country, and the stock of urea fertilizer is scheduled to be handed over to the Ministry of Agriculture today. 

The Ministry of Agriculture stated that the representative of the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization, Wimalendra Sharan, will hand over the fertilizer stock to the Minister of Agriculture this afternoon.
