Sri Lanka's tourism sector is experiencing a noteworthy resurgence as the country welcomed over 100,000 tourists in the first 23 days of July, surpassing last year's full arrival target.

Daily average arrivals in July have shown significant improvement compared to June, indicating growing off-peak demand and the industry's resilience.

India remains the top source market, followed by the United Kingdom, China, Germany, and Russia. Tourism Minister Harin Fernando credits collaborative efforts for attracting visitors and showcasing Sri Lanka's diverse attractions and cultural heritage.

The resurgence in tourism signifies a positive outlook for the country's economy, generating revenue and employment opportunities while promoting cultural exchange.
