Sifan Hasaan sets a new world record

 

A netherland athlete, 28 year old Sifan Hasaan has kept  the world record for women's 10,000 meters running. She has recorded this at an athletic game held in Netherland finishing the race in 29 minutes, 6 seconds and 8.2 devimals.

 

According to her performance she has broken the record kept by Ithiyopian athlete Almaas Ayana in 29 minutes, 17 minutes and 4.5 decimals for the same event. Sifan Hssaan was born in Ithiyopia and migrated to Netherland in 2008, when she was 15.

 

She won the 1500m and 10,000m running events in 2019 at the Doha World Championship Athletics tournament and she is the current champion of those events.
