Privacy Policy

Last updated: 13 October 2026

This Privacy Policy explains what information Aayubo collects, why we collect it, and the choices you have. It applies to the Aayubo mobile app and related services.

1. Information You Give Us

  • Account details: your email address, password and the name you choose.
  • Profile details: your photo, full name, and anything else you add such as your area or phone number.
  • Content: posts, questions, answers, comments, photos and marketplace listings.
  • Contact details on listings: the phone number or email you add so buyers can reach you.
  • Messages you send us, such as support requests or reports about other members.

2. Information We Collect Automatically

  • Usage information, such as the posts you open and the actions you take in the app.
  • Device information, such as device model, operating system and app version.
  • A device token, if you allow push notifications, so we can send them.
  • Log information, including your IP address, when the app contacts our servers.
  • Your device's advertising identifier, where you have allowed it, so ads can be chosen for you. See section 6.

3. How We Use Your Information

  • To create and run your account and show your profile.
  • To show your posts, questions, answers and listings to other members.
  • To let buyers contact sellers in Marketplace.
  • To review content before it is published and to act on reports.
  • To send notifications you have agreed to receive.
  • To keep Aayubo safe, prevent abuse and investigate breaches of our Terms.
  • To improve the app and fix problems.

4. What Other Members Can See

  • Your name, photo and profile are visible to other members.
  • Your posts, questions, answers and listings are visible according to the audience you choose.
  • Contact details you add to a listing are shown to members who view that listing.
  • Anonymous posts hide your name from other members, but Aayubo can still identify the account behind them.
  • Please do not include private information in content you publish.

5. Sharing With Others

  • We do not sell your personal information.
  • We share information with service providers who help us run Aayubo, such as hosting, storage, analytics and push notification providers, and only for that purpose.
  • We may share information when the law requires it, or to protect the safety and rights of members and the public.
  • We share information with our advertising partner as described in section 6.

6. Advertising

  • We show ads in Aayubo. They are supplied by Google AdMob, and Google chooses which ads you see — we do not.
  • Google may use your device's advertising identifier to choose ads it thinks are relevant to you and to measure how those ads perform.
  • On iPhone and iPad we ask your permission before that identifier is used. If you say no, you will still see ads, but they will be chosen without using the identifier.
  • You can change your answer at any time: on iPhone and iPad in Settings, under Privacy & Security and then Tracking. On Android there is no such prompt, and you can reset or delete your advertising ID in your device's privacy settings.
  • We do not give advertisers your name, email address or phone number.

7. Storage and Security

  • Your information is stored on servers operated by our hosting providers, which may be located outside Japan.
  • We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your information. No service can be completely secure.

8. How Long We Keep Information

  • We keep your account information for as long as your account exists.
  • We keep the IP address and device details in our server logs for 90 days, and then delete them.
  • If a device has not been used to open Aayubo for 180 days, we delete that device's notification token.
  • Content you delete is removed from the app, and copies may remain in our backups for a limited period.
  • We may keep some information for longer where the law requires it, or to deal with abuse and disputes.

9. Your Choices and Rights

  • You can edit your profile, and delete your posts and listings, at any time.
  • You can block another member from their profile or from any of their posts. Blocked members cannot see your content and you will not see theirs. Your blocked list is in Settings, and you can undo a block there at any time.
  • You can turn push notifications off in your device settings.
  • You can delete your account from inside the app. When you do, we remove your profile details, disconnect your sign-in, delete your notification tokens, and replace your email address with one that cannot identify you, so the account can no longer be traced back to you.
  • You can ask us for a copy of your information, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it.

10. Children

  • Aayubo is for people aged 13 and over. We ask for your date of birth when you create an account, and an account showing an age under 13 is not accepted.
  • We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child has created an account, please contact us and we will remove it.

11. Changes to This Policy

  • We may update this Privacy Policy. If we make an important change, we will tell you in the app. Continuing to use Aayubo after a change means you accept the updated policy.

12. Contact Us

  • If you have a question about this policy or your information, contact us through the Contact option in the app.
