Children vulnerable in many schools due to low-quality buildings - MP

Children in many schools are vulnerable to disasters due to the poor quality of buildings, a government MP told Parliament today.  

 

"There are low-quality buildings in ten schools in the Kaduwela area alone," MP Kaushalya Ariyaratne said.  

 

"Girls' schools do not have facilities to dispose of sanitary pads," she added.
