UK Police probe harassment claim at Sri Lankan High Commission amid suicide alert
The UK police have made inquiries into a complaint regarding the alleged harassment of a domestic worker at the official residence of Sri Lankan High Commissioner in London Rohitha Bogollagama.
The domestic aide, who is a cook serving in the residence, complained to the police on emergency contact line through one of his friends.
The police have arrived at the residence and inquired about the complaint that someone inside the house was trying to commit suicide.
However, no legal action has been initiated.
A diplomatic source said the police did not enter the house because of diplomatic immunity.
Later, the domestic worker was sent back to Sri Lanka using an emergency passport.
