Amaraweera, Lasantha, Duminda removed from SLFP positions

Ministers Mahinda Amaraweera, Lasantha Alagiyawanna and Duminda Dissanayake were stripped of their positions in the Sri Lanka Freedom Party (SLFP) today.

 

Dissanayake was the national organizer of the party while Minister Amaraweera held the post of senior Vice President.

 

The decision was taken at a special meeting convened by party leader Maithripala Sirisena.

 

The party appointed K.P. Gunawardena as National organiser, Hector Bethmage as Treasurer and Sarath Ekanayake as Senior Vice President.
