Rare event - all planets align - Scientist

As a rare event, all planets in our solar system, except Mercury, are visible in one line, but only four can be seen with the naked eye these days, Space Scientist and Engineering Lecturer Gihan Weerasekera said.
He told the media that Saturn, Venus, Jupiter and Mars are visible to the naked eye, while Uranus and Neptune can only be seen through a telescope or binoculars due to their faintness.
All the planets will align along the ecliptic, the path traced by the Sun, making them visible together in the night sky for at least a month, Weerasekera said.
By the end of February, Mercury will also become visible. On February 25, all the planets in the solar system, including Mercury, will align in a single line after 7 p.m, he said.
