Heavy rainfall expected across multiple areas

Heavy showers exceeding 100 mm are likely in the Western, Sabaragamuwa, Central, Southern, North-western, and North-central provinces after 12:00 p.m. today.

 

The National Meteorological Centre’s Forecasting Division also predicts a few showers in Kalutara, Galle, Matara, and Ratnapura districts during the morning.

 

Thus, the public is advised to take necessary precautions to minimize potential damage from localized strong winds and lightning during thundershowers.
