Sinopec launches first fuel station in Sri Lanka

Chinese state-owned petroleum and petrochemical company, Sinopec, has inaugurated its first fuel station in Kottawa Mattegoda on August 30th.

The station was previously managed by a local manager under the Ceylon Petroleum Corporation (CPC) and is now under Sinopec's management.

Sinopec has plans to take over the management of a total of 150 fuel stations in Sri Lanka and intends to open 50 new petrol stations as part of its expansion efforts.

This marks Sinopec's entry into the Sri Lankan fuel market, aiming to contribute to the country's energy sector and provide more options for consumers.
