Western Province Senior DIG transferred to Sabaragamuwa

Four senior police officers, including the Senior DIG in charge of the Western Province, have been transferred by the Police Headquarters, effective from February 5, 2025.

 

The transfers were made with the approval of the National Police Commission, according to the Police.

 

Senior DIG K.P.M. Gunaratne has been moved from his position as Senior DIG in charge of the Western Province to Senior DIG in charge of the Sabaragamuwa Province.

 

Meanwhile, Senior DIG P.P.S.M. Dharmaratne has been transferred from his post as Senior DIG in charge of Sabaragamuwa Province to Senior DIG in charge of the Western Province.

 

Additionally, DIG G.A.N.L. Wijesena has been transferred from the position of DIG in charge of the Kalutara District to DIG in charge of the Welfare Division, while Female DIG W.J. Padmini will take over as DIG in charge of the Kalutara District from the Welfare Division.
