Special discussion on National Weather Plan & its contribution to country’s development

 

A discussion on the National Weather Plan which contributes to the country's development was held at the President's Office on Thursday (29) under the chairmanship of President's Secretary Saman Ekanayake and United National Party Deputy Leader, President's Adviser on Climate Change Ruwan Wijewardena.

In this discussion held with the participation of Ms. Sara Jane Ahmed and Ms. Miniyat Fabbiha, the advisers of the Weather Risk Forum, the related draft was presented to the President's Secretary.

It was discussed here that the Ministry of Environment should take the lead in identifying and implementing the potential of irrigation, agriculture and other related fields that contribute to the National Climate Plan.
