PUCSL to seek legal opinion on interim electricity tariffs with retrospective effect

According to the Electricity Act of 2009, the Public Utilities Commission of Sri Lanka (PUCSL) has taken a unanimous decision to speed up the rate proposal of the Electricity Board of Sri Lanka (CEB) according to its Chairman Mr. Janaka Ratnayake.

The electricity sector regulator has also decided to seek legal opinion regarding the implementation of the request of the Council of Ministers regarding interim charges as it has been in effect since the past.
